Choose an internal task with a clear owner
Potential discovery topics include locating internal procedures, drafting routine responses, preparing handover summaries or classifying incoming requests. Start with a team that can define source material, acceptable outputs and review responsibilities. Avoid broad enterprise assistants with unclear access boundaries as a first step.
Respect permission boundaries
An assistant must not make information visible to someone who could not access the source directly. Check data classification, identity controls, logging, retention and vendor processing before connecting internal knowledge. Test for cross-team leakage and prompt injection using the organization’s own threat model.
Measure the full work cycle
Track whether staff find the right answer, how much editing is required, time to completion and downstream correction rates. Include the time required for verification. A faster draft is not an efficiency gain if review effort, errors or rework increase.
Make the workflow resilient
Define how the employee proceeds when the model is unavailable, uncertain or wrong. Keep source links visible, maintain a feedback path and assign owners for outdated documents. Tamil Nadu’s IT ecosystem is diverse; local teams should validate relevance to their specific business function rather than relying on generic adoption statistics.
