AGENTIC AI TUTOR · SAFEGUARDS

Make boundaries visible before the first question.

A school should know what an AI tutor can do, where its evidence is limited and how learners remain protected. The Tutor application includes several explicit controls and still requires responsible deployment decisions.

Curriculum readiness is explicit

The app can show catalogue subjects and chapters that are not lesson-ready. The lesson-start gate currently permits only a limited Class 9 integrated Science Motion chapter-level path, without a selected topic. The underlying NCERT chapter is not fully indexed in the tutor lesson corpus. The website’s example should not be read as complete curriculum coverage.

Human review remains essential

Students should be encouraged to verify important information with their class teacher. Tutors and school leaders remain accountable for instruction, assessment and decisions that affect students. The AI should not be positioned as an autonomous grader or a substitute for a qualified teacher.

Privacy by choice

Camera use is off by default, follows an explicit permission step and is treated as a local preview in the current implementation. Schools should separately confirm notice, consent, retention, access and provider policies for any deployed configuration.

Identity and access boundaries

Institutional learner access is tied to verified enrollment and school-scoped authorization. Administrative previews with synthetic data are distinct from a real customer role or permission check. A demo screen cannot establish production authorization or school data isolation.
